Meet the Team
Julio Delgado’s passion for cooking began at an early age when he spent much of his time in his grandfather’s butcher shop, which inspired not only Chef Delgado, but also other members of his family to become professional chefs.
A native Puerto Rican, Chef Delgado started working in restaurants at the ripe age of 15 before gaining his Culinary Arts Degree from the Hoteliers Program of Puerto Rico in 1993. Delgado trained professionally in French and Spanish kitchens, which led him to become executive chef of Château Élan Winery & Resort at Braselton in North Georgia. A veteran of the Ritz-Carlton, he has held posts at a number of the luxury hotel’s properties, including as executive chef of The Ritz-Carlton, Atlanta; executive sous chef at The Ritz-Carlton, Buckhead and as fine dining chef at The Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, Ga. Delgado joins JP Atlanta as Executive Chef with a strong sense of innovation influenced by tradition and global flavors. Delgado’s global influence provides an updated twist on the classics featuring high quality, responsibly sourced ingredients.
